The Nangle name is well known in this area and Dermot’s family have been around for generations, Shelagh on the other hand is what is known as a blow in despite been here for nearly 20 years!!!

We wanted to do something to revitalise the stables and sheds on the property, with Dermot’s background in construction and ability to design a project on the back of a beermat and Shelagh’s years of working in all aspects of hospitality - Slanemore apartments was born!!

We offer a modern comfortable experience while retaining the history of the site. We used reclaimed local stone as was used in our traditional farmhouse to create the stunning wall that supports the outdoor stairs to the first floor and also creates the beautiful stone entrance.

We even managed to save some of the original stable wall in what is now the reception area and Shelaghs favourite piece of the build!

We both hope that you enjoy every minute of your stay and are happy to advise, help or just have a chat.

The chances are you will catch sight of a rather large feline skulking around the place that’s Smudge our Director of Security - he loves ham and tuna and is excellent at looking hungry!!!
